Coaching a Growth Mindset

We hear a lot about having a "Growth Mindset". That is all well and good, but if our brains aren't accustomed to looking for growth, the words that are being tossed around are just that...words. Let's be real, our thoughts like to focus on all the things we HAVEN'T accomplished. That is the conundrum of the "Growth Mindset".
What I am doing inside my classroom is coaching my students HOW to have a growth mindset. I am training their brains to look for the positive, the possibilities in their every day life. This isn't a list of affirmations they repeat over and over again. This is a daily practice to rewire their thinking.
And I'm seeing some amazing results.
